We had the most perfect day in Northern VA to create memories of Kayla’s senior year before she heads off to college. She has committed to the University of California at Davis’s NCAA D1 Equestrian Team!

Kayla has spent countless hours here and it was an honor to document a place so near to her heart. Isn’t it spectacular?

Spending time with Kayla really allowed me to see a glimpse of the graceful and classy young woman she is. She is dedicated, bright and worked hard to achieve her goals. 2020 has been a crazy time for students and athletes and Kayla has risen to the challenges. She’s a shining light. The world could use more young people like her and I wish her every success.

I was thrilled to see one of my travel images from a pre Covid trip to Montreal had won a place among the finalists in the Color Pop category! I seriously do not know how the magazine can choose. There are so many talented photographers and what a crazy difficult job it has to be.

Gonzaga Freshman

Starting his freshman year of high school at home and fully virtual was not the way Jackson really wanted it to go. Gonzaga College High School in Washington DC is known for it’s brotherhood of a student body and it’s active and inclusive campus experience.

There are certain activities and service opportunities allowed on campus, but because of Covid 19, all classes are online with hopes of things improving for 2021…

Jackson is making the best of it and off to a great start though…

Mom…these next four years are going to absolutely fly by so don’t blink…

I am positive Jackson is going to fit right in at Gonzaga. I wish you the best as you enter this new chapter of your academic career.

I think I may have found my new favorite location for my seniors! The Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, VA is full of color, texture and really had some beautiful light the day we were there. I have known this gorgeous creature for a few years now and what an honor it was to document her senior year…

To kick off this Mother's Day weekend, I thought I would look back on images of my favorite moments with some of the fabulous Moms I have had the pleasure of working with.  There is so much love in these photos and I hope you will see and feel that.  Moms, I know you don't always want to get in front of the camera, I know you're tired and don't always feel picture perfect.  I'm here to tell you your children do not care!  It's you they want to remember. The incredible human who sacrificed everything for them and was there sharing in these moments that really seem to fly by.  I myself can't truly believe I have three of my own in double digits.The best feeling in the world is when Mom receives photographs from me and she loves them.  It means we have made connections and frozen them in time.  I am so thrilled to be able to create these memories for you Mamas... It really is everything.  I am grateful to you for trusting me and I wish you the most appreciated and relaxed Mother's Day.  You deserve it!!
