Senior Parents Get in the Photo / Class of 2024

Hey senior parents…I see you. You are probably right in the thick of it. Spring will be here soon which means so will graduation. College decisions are being made and things are really happening…

At every senior photo session, I ask to get images with parents or other special people who are with us …

I know what you’re thinking… I’m not photo ready or I’m not good in front of the camera. Please trust me, you won’t regret it. Plus it’s a chance for you to get super close to your teen if only for a few minutes. Senior parents, get in the photo!

Robinson Secondary School Senior

It’s almost graduation but I am still having fun with members of the Class of 2022!

Caleb wanted a relaxed urban feel for his senior images…

It was so nice getting to know him and hearing all about his plans to attend James Madison University in the fall…

Each time I meet with a senior for their session, I am reminded of how bright the future really can be. It gives me hope and reminds me of what a privilege it is for me to witness this special time in their lives. Wishing Caleb all the best as begins this new and exciting chapter!

Senior Session Vienna, VA

The light for Caroline’s senior photo session was absolutely perfect…

Caroline requested a natural backdrop for her portraits so we chose a golden hour session at Mercer Lake in Springfield , Virginia. It was the perfect night and we were able to take our time and utilize the entire space…

In the fall, Caroline will be starting a new chapter and attending Boston College…Her Mom’s Alma Mater! How amazing is that? What a privilege it was to create these images with her. I am wishing her so much love and success as she wraps up her last days of High School at St Paul IV. Way to go girl!!

Next up, we have beautiful Julia!

This is actually the fourth time I have had the pleasure of photographing this high school senior! Time really flies doesn’t it?

For Julia’s session, we chose The Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, VA. It is quickly becoming one of my favorite locations for senior sessions. It has great colors and textures and the sun sets in just the right spot this time of year…

Julia shares the same birth country as my own daughter, South Korea. She is driven, focused and knows what she wants out of life…

When mom shows up to your shoot with flowers! I know what it is like to be the mom of a senior so I felt this…So sweet!

Julia plans to enter the US Military after graduation! I am wishing her all the success and happiness she deserves. I had the best time with her documenting her senior year here in Northern Virginia before she leaves for training. To say I am proud is an understatement. Go Julia…The world needs more young women like you.

Alexandria Senior Pictures

WOW! The Class of 2021 Senior season has been off to a fabulous start and it’s been so great to hear about graduations happening…Live and in person!

First up, we have the beautiful Evie…

Evie requested a natural backdrop for her photographs at a place she’s enjoyed over the years called Huntley Meadows Park in Alexandria, Virginia.

Since it was the very start of spring, we met at 5:30. We made our way around the birdwatchers and nature photographers and took advantage of the dappled light. There is even a beautiful walkway over the water…

This talented senior was confident and relaxed and such a joy to work with. I am wishing her all the best as she wraps up her time at West Potomac High School and heads off to college this fall.
